Heyyy guys!!! I had a totally fab birthday! So happy to spend it on Gili T!… Its pretty cool that i can say i spent my 22nd birthday snorkelling on 3 really beautiful islands, watching a beautiful sunset and drinking bintang whilst dancing to reggae…. :-D!! So we are now in Ubud and we’re being totally cultural!! Today has been a really great and action packed! We hired a taxi/ tour guide for the whole day and he took us everywhere! He picked us up at 9am and its now 10pm so we are officially 4 knackered ladies! We saw…Balinese dancing in the morning (which was really strange yet so interesting… The woman’s body and eye movements are crazy!), waterfall, silver making, coffee making, volcano (although it was raining and we couldn’t actually see it!), rice fields, temple (and we saw the yearly water spring ceremony), wood carving, monkey forest and then a second balinese dance where a man walked and sat on fire! Tomorrow im going to a Balinese healer… Like a fortune teller. I can’t wait. I’m so excited. It’s just like on the film eat pray love…. If you haven’t seen it… you have to watch it! I hope my future is good and I’m not going to die old and lonely! Our plans for Wednesday are… cycling around the countryside, then Thursday me, Al and Liz are making rings/ bracelets/ toe rings whilst Kate does a cooking course then in the afternoon we are off back to Ulu Watu until monday where the beaches are amazing and the men are pretty fine also….. ;-)! Gili T and Annas Birthday

We’ve just returned from the Gili islands after spending 5 days there.We got to celebrate Annas big 22nd yesterday and spent the day snorkeling on a boat trip (where I successfully managed to scrape half my knee off whilst falling into a boat, only I could manage that).we travelled round the Gili islands (trawangan, air and meno) and got off a several places where we saw 4 GIANT SEA TURTLES!!! It was so great! And loads of fish of course. We got to feed the fish with bread and I did it from my mouth so they covered my face, it was weird!
We got Anna a cake, sadly they spelt her name wrong but, you know, its the thought that counts! It also tasted really bad, sorry about that anne!
We rode bikes to the west side of the island to watch the sunset which was A M A Z I N G!!!
Then we went out for a really nice dinner and some drinks!
We are currently in ubud in really nice accommodation and have lots of cultural activities planned for the next few days!
